Moyaone Reserve Homes Tour – April 30
After a four-year hiatus, the Moyaone Reserve Homes Tour is back this Saturday, April 30 from 1 to 5 pm. Moyaone Reserve is a heavily wooded community of 180 mostly mid-century modern and contemporary homes situated along the Potomac River contiguous to Piscataway National Park. In Moyaone Reserve, all the homes are on five or more acres and were designed by the likes of architects Charles Wagner and Charles Goodman. Moyaone Reserve is located in Accokeek, Maryland, just 20 miles south of Capitol Hill.
One of my past listings (pictured above) will be featured on the tour. The 1958 mid-century modern with A-frame studio on six acres was designed by Casper Neer, a long time resident of Hollin Hills who graduated from Harvard’s School of Design during the time that Marcel Breuer and I.M. Pei.
Tickets for the Moyaone Reserve Homes Tour include the tour followed by a wine social, art show, and silent auction (5 – 7 pm). The tour starts at the Moyaone Community Center (2311 Bryan Point Road, Accokeek, Maryland 20607).
You can purchase tickets ($35.00/person in advance; $40 at the door) here.
