When my wife, daughter and I moved back to D.C. in 2005, I started looking for a resource about mid-century modern homes and neighborhoods in the area. I couldn’t find anything, so I started Modern Capital.

The site is dedicated to covering mid-century modern and modern real estate, design and events in the D.C. area. It also is committed to raising awareness and supporting efforts to preserve the region’s mid-century modern architecture. I donate 10 percent of all ad revenue to groups dedicated to preserving and highlighting mid-century modern architecture.

This passion for informing people about the variety of mid-century modern homes in the area and an intense interest from readers looking for a real estate professional who understands and appreciates this type of architecture, led me to pursue my real estate license.
