Gropius’ Hechinger House in DC for Sale – $3.75 Million
The home designed by Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius’ The Architects Collaborative (TAC) for the Hechinger family is on the market for the first time for $3.75 million. The Hechinger House is one of two homes built in 1952 side-by-side on Chain Bridge Rd. in the Kent neighborhood of Washington by Gropius. The other house was designed and built for John Hechinger’s sister, Lois, and her husband. Here’s Kathy Orton’s feature on the house in the Washington Post.
