Bethesda MCM Townhouse Overlooking Pool – $599K

Whitehall

It was so hot yesterday I almost jumped into the pool at the Whitehall condo complex on Battery Lane in Bethesda. The complex has 14 two-level mid-century modern townhomes that were built in 1963. The white-brick townhomes with large expanses of glass are set in a semi-circle around the pool, which you get a nice view of from the the second-level master bedroom. The open staircase in this 3 bed/2.5 bath townhome listed for $599K is reminiscent of the stairs in Charles Goodman’s River Park townhouses in Southwest DC. Whitehall, like River Park, also has large apartment blocks that play off the smaller scale of the townhouses. The Whitehall complex is less than one mile to downtown Bethesda.
