Two for Sale in Holmes Run Acres; Cook Architecture Renovation Coming Soon

Holmes Run Acres sign

Last Spring, Holmes Run Acres, the National Register of Historic Places-designated neighborhood of nearly 350 homes in Falls Church, was bursting with sales. We are starting to see activity this year amid the still frigid temperatures of winter. There are currently two homes listed for sale and I will be listing a renovation by architect Michael Cook soon.

This 3 bed/2 bath with carport is listed for $585K while this 3 bed/2 bath is listed for $579K.

On my listing, Cook of award-winning Cook Architecture and developer Steven Wheeler of Solid Constructs have transformed a run down small two-level home in the neighborhood into a soaring modern and updated retreat. The 2,200 square foot house features 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms; lower-level master suite and den; open modern kitchen; private second-story deck; and new plumbing, electrical and custom lighting. The home is sited on a .26 acre lot on a quiet cul-de-sac. Walls of glass are designed to connect the space with the natural surroundings, including mature trees that create a tree-house setting.

Here is a rendering of the current project:

Here is a before shot. Stay tuned for more. Contact me if you want more information on this property before it is listed.
