Charles Goodman designed a number of custom homes in Montgomery County, including one for his personal attorney Lewis Jacobs and his wife Bella. The Chevy Chase home was built in 1952 and is now for sale for the first time. It is listed for $799,900.  The home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs and a living/dining room and kitchen downstairs. The one-car flat-roof carport contrasts with the slanted roof of the two-story home, that appears as a one-story from the front. The bottom level is mostly surrounded by walls of glass. The house is very modest in size (1,800+ sq. ft.) for the neighborhood so a sensitive modernist expansion would help preserve the current structure while allowing for more space to meet the needs of most homeowners of today.

The downstairs living-dining room is separated from the kitchen by a large brick-wall fireplace.
