ARCHER is kicking off the first month of 2013 with a sale and event, both focused on good design. As part of ARCHER’s 20th Century Design Sale, you can get 20 percent off pieces by Hans Wegner, Poul Henningsen, Robsjohn Gibbings and Gio Ponti.  The sale runs through January 28. On Jan. 24 from 6 to 8 p.m., ARCHER will host Hugh Newell Jacobsen, FAIA, and Simon Jacobsen of Jacobsen Architecture, who will discuss the origins and ethos of the firm’s new furniture collection at ARCHER in relation to their numerous projects around the world.To date, the firm has designed more than 400 private homes, including residences for Meryl Streep and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
