1965 Hickory Cluster Goodman in Reston – $349K; Open 3/27

Hickory Cluster

When you run a popular blog called Unclutterer, a minimalist mid-century modern home seems like it would fit the bill. That has been the case with Erin Doland, the editor-in-chief of the site, and her husband PJ. The Goodman-designed end unit townhome in Reston has been featured on the site during the years, but is now on the market for $349K.  The 2 bedroom/1.5 bath townhouse has larger rooms and master bath compared to the original design. A third bedroom was used to expand the other spaces. The house is open 1 to 4 on Sunday. You can see more images here.

When Robert Simon started developing Reston as a modern planned community in the early 1960s, he asked Goodman to design the first set of homes. Goodman designed Hickory Cluster, 90 International-style townhomes nestled into the trees just across the street from Lake Anne.
