Endangered: 1966 Harold Esten Mid-Century Modern – $895K

This shot shows the right side of the house looking toward the street as seen below in the drawing.

The price on this Harold Esten-designed mid-century modern in Bethesda has recently dropped from $1 million to $895K. Esten, a leading mid-century modern architect here in the D.C. area, designed the flat-roof house for the Stokes family. The house has been vacant for some time and needs extensive work so it is now being marketed as a lot. The focus of the house is the entrance into a large and dramatic living room/dining area with a wall glass and floating fireplace. The 4 bedroom/3 bath house sits on a prime 1 acre wooded lot on Crail Drive surrounded by other cool mid-century modern and modern homes, including another by Esten.
